Food, you should plan on bringing what you will need for cooking and eating while at the cabin. The Camp does offer a limited selection at the General Store. The camp also operates the dining hall with meals available to purchase, the Snack Shack for milkshakes and diner fare, pizza and pizzookies for a quick bite, and a weekly pancake breakfast (details found at the welcome center)

* Our home has stairs. Lots of stairs. There are approximately two flights of stairs up to the front door so please be aware of any mobility issues before you visit. You can access the rec room and bypass the outdoor stairs but you will still have to walk up a steep set of indoor stairs to the kitchen.
* This is not a party house. We expect that you will make use of the rec room as a “mudroom” and not wear shoes in our home. If you love a mess this may not be the right house for you.
* All renters in the Sub-Division are asked to abide by the rules of Hume Lake Christian camps.
* While we have ample parking we ask that in respect for our neighbors you only come up with two cars max and respect the 15mph speed limit in the subdivision.
What is there to do at Hume?
* I am so glad you asked! There is always something to do at Hume. You can enjoy the summer teaching series, enroll your littles in Huckleberry House or day camp and enjoy the morning exploring the hiking trails around Hume or simply take a nap. There are shakes and fries at the Snack Shop, shopping at Hume apparel, renting paddleboards or setting up in the sun on the lawn while you watch the kids play. You can enjoy the high adventure course or go on a guided walking tour behind the scenes at the camp. Mountain biking, swimming, driving down into nearby Kings Canyon or visiting the big trees Hume is the perfect spot to enjoy God’s creation.
Contact the Hume activities office to sign up for all the camp has to offer.
* Something you might want to consider is donating or volunteering some time while you are here on the Hill. The ministry of Hume is the entire reason we are here and there are frequent opportunities for volunteers to support the ministry of Hume.
* Take a minute to encourage any staff you encounter. They work hard in the summer and any encouragement you can give them is so appreciated.
